Sahar Raji is a solicitor in Quastels’ Immigration team, specialising in complex corporate immigration, global mobility and strategic business immigration. She advises international businesses, recognised brands, entrepreneurs and senior executives on immigration matters arising from international expansion, workforce mobility and wider commercial strategy.
With an inherently international practice, Sahar advises businesses and individuals across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and North Africa, and Asia on UK market entry, international mobility and complex immigration matters. She has particular expertise in sponsor licensing and compliance, advising businesses on complex regulatory requirements, sponsored workforces and global mobility programmes. Her corporate practice spans sectors including consumer and retail, technology and artificial intelligence, professional services and engineering amongst others.
She regularly advises overseas businesses and entrepreneurs establishing or expanding their presence in the UK, including on setting up UK offices and operations and relocating key personnel. Sahar provides strategic advice from market entry through to the ongoing management of a UK workforce, ensuring immigration considerations are aligned with wider commercial objectives.
A significant part of Sahar’s practice involves complex and sensitive matters where immigration issues are commercially critical or time sensitive. Her contentious practice includes challenging complex and wrongful Home Office refusals through administrative review and judicial review proceedings.
Sahar has a special interest in assisting talented and high-achieving individuals on routes including the Global Talent and High Potential Individual visas, as well as advising on complex applications involving British nationality and UK Ancestry. She has particular experience in matters requiring detailed analysis of eligibility, historic circumstances and complex evidential or nationality issues.
Alongside her corporate practice, Sahar has advised high net worth individuals, members of foreign royal families and families of former political leaders on sensitive immigration matters. She has experience managing clients’ immigration journeys from initial entry clearance through to settlement and British citizenship.
Known for her calm and measured approach, meticulous attention to detail and strategic thinking, Sahar is trusted by clients to handle complex and high-stakes immigration matters with discretion, pragmatism and commercial focus.
She holds an LLB from SOAS University of London, achieved a distinction in her Legal Practice Course at BPP University, and is accredited at Level 3 of the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA).
