Associate – Commercial Property (4+ PQE)

About us:

Quastels LLP is continuing to grow its highly regarded Commercial Property team (ranked in the Legal 500 for Commercial Property and Hospitality and Leisure work) and is looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Property Associate with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm with a first-class client base, advising on a broad range of high-value and complex commercial property matters. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting existing clients whilst helping to develop new relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the team.

About the role:

You will advise a diverse portfolio of clients including high-net-worth individuals, property investors, developers, luxury retail brands and corporate clients on a broad range of commercial property transactions.

The role offers significant client contact and the opportunity to work closely with Partners across a varied and high-quality caseload whilst managing your own experience-appropriate caseload and client relationships with Partner support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Commercial acquisitions and disposals
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Property finance transactions
  • Providing general commercial property support on corporate acquisitions, disposals and restructurings
  • General asset management work

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in Commercial Property with an interest in complex matters.
  • Experience gained at a respected City, West End or highly regarded regional law firm.
  • Strong technical skills and experience across commercial acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, property finance and corporate support transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy experience-appropriate caseload independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the confidence to build trusted, long-term client relationships and advise sophisticated clients.
  • Experience acting for high-net-worth individuals, investors, developers, luxury retail brands or similar commercial clients would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative team-led approach and the ability to build strong relationships across the wider firm
  • A genuine interest and willingness to participate in the business development aspirations of the team.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset with the ambition to help grow both the department and your own practice through the delivery of exceptional client service.
  • A strong work ethic and reliable billing record.
