Jack Burroughs (TEP) is a cerebral and versatile Private Wealth lawyer with deep experience in tax, trusts and estate planning. Jack is known for his expertise in relation to new technology and cryptoassets. He co-authored the second edition of legal textbook The Digital Estate, serves as Deputy-Chair to STEP’s Digital Assets Global Special Interest Group, and is a regular speaker on the topic.

Jack provides advice to clients in the UK and around the world on tax, trust and estate matters, taking a practical and commercially-sensible approach. Jack studied Law at Downing College, Cambridge, and is a full member of STEP. Jack is listed as a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500 2026.

Having previously worked at the Country Land and Business Association, providing tax, succession planning and trust advice to some of the country’s largest estates, Jack has particular experience in helping landowners and family businesses.
